Pivit Inc. (“Pivit”, “we”, “us”) operates the Zube.io website and services (“Zube”). This Privacy Policy describes the personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it. For personal data collected through Zube, Pivit Inc. is the data controller. You can contact us with any privacy question or request at support@zube.io.
Account information. When you sign up for Zube using GitHub or Google, we collect the profile information needed to create your account, such as your username and email address.
Customer data. We store the content you and your team create or connect while using Zube, such as projects, cards, comments, and data synced from integrations you enable (for example, GitHub issues).
Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment processor, Braintree (a PayPal service). Your full payment card details are provided directly to and stored by Braintree — Pivit does not store your full card number. We retain only the billing records we need to manage your subscription.
Technical information. Like most website operators, we collect information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as IP address, browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each request. We use this information to operate, secure, and improve Zube. We may compile aggregated, non-personally-identifying statistics about how visitors use Zube (for example, overall traffic trends) and may publish such aggregated information; it does not identify you.
You can always decline to supply personal data, with the caveat that it may prevent you from using certain features of Zube. Zube is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Where the GDPR or similar data protection laws apply, we process personal data on the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract — to provide the Zube service, operate your account, provide customer support, and process subscription payments.
Legitimate interests — to secure our systems, prevent fraud and abuse, debug and improve the service, and communicate with you about service matters.
Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law, such as tax and accounting requirements and lawful requests from public authorities.
Consent — for optional communications, such as emails about new features and product news. You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time.
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
A cookie is a small string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Zube uses only first-party cookies that are necessary to operate the service — for example, to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If you set your browser to refuse cookies, features of Zube that depend on them (such as logging in) will not function properly.
Pivit will not rent or sell personal data to anyone. We disclose personal data only:
To service providers (subprocessors) that process it on our behalf and on our instructions — such as our cloud hosting provider and Braintree for payment processing — under contracts that require them to protect it and that restrict its use to providing services to us. A current list of our subprocessors is available on request at support@zube.io.
In response to lawful requests — such as a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request — or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pivit, our users, or the public at large.
Pivit Inc. is a United States company, and our production data hosting is located in Ireland. Where personal data originating in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland is transferred to a country whose laws have not been deemed adequate — including the United States — we rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection law, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Pivit remains responsible for personal data that it transfers to third parties processing it on Pivit’s behalf. Pivit Inc. is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and in certain situations may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities.
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, or ask us to delete your data, we will delete it from our servers within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, billing records for tax and accounting purposes) or where residual copies remain in backups until those backups are rotated out in the ordinary course of business.
Where the GDPR or similar data protection laws apply to you, you have the right to: (i) access the personal data we hold about you; (ii) have inaccurate data corrected; (iii) have your data erased; (iv) restrict or object to our processing of your data; (v) receive a copy of the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format; and (vi) withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@zube.io; we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Pivit protects personal data with physical, technical, and administrative safeguards appropriate to the risk, and takes measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of personal data. If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the applicable authorities as required by law.
If you are a registered user and have supplied your email address, Pivit may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or keep you up to date with what’s going on with Zube. We expect to keep this type of email to a minimum, and you can unsubscribe at any time. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users.
If Pivit, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Pivit goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Pivit may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
Pivit may change its Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting on our blog, by email, or by other communication before the changes take effect. Pivit encourages visitors to check this page for the current version of the Privacy Policy. Your continued use of Zube after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
